This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

The Senior Manager, HR Communications Strategy, will work cross-functionally with Corporate Relations and HR leadership to develop HR Communications strategies and messaging that support HR strategic goals and objectives, including an effective employer brand strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct the execution of the annual Human Resources communications plan, associated budget, and measurement methods to gauge effectiveness.
    • The plan will include New Hire/Recruiting, Benefits and Wellness, Training and Development, and Diversity and Inclusion
  • Develop and promote a compelling Employer Brand strategy to strengthen our ability to attract and retain talent.
  • Provide leadership and strategic communication counsel to HR leadership.
  • As needed, manage and ensure rigorous review protocols for various HR-related communications, including legal, safety, and executive review.
  • Manage and oversee various vendors and creative agency partners to execute the strategic communications plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in journalism, marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience in Marketing or Internal/External Communications, Advertising, or HR Strategic Communications with an emphasis on client services and implementation of communications programs OR a minimum of 5 years of related human resources communications experience.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Internal/External Communications processes, tools, techniques, and best practices
  • Experience developing, managing, and producing annual Communications plans, including print, interactive and multi-media/online web content within a specified budget
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to engage executive-level leaders in the company, listen to their vision, ideas, and concerns and develop successful strategies to reach the right audience at the right time with the right message
  • Leadership knowledge of the rail industry as well as BNSF as a company is preferred
