Primary Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for developing, coordinating and project-managing:

  • Communications plans and strategies
  • Targeted public relations campaigns to clients and recruits using a range of digital, print platforms
  • Thought leadership articles on technical subjects
  • Award entries – both project awards and company awards
  • Internal communications and employee campaigns
  • Media relations, including press releases and media pitches
  • Social media and web content
  • Crisis communications

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Excellent writing, reporting, interviewing and editing skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into PR and marketing messages and incorporate visual components into storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in web and social media platforms
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work professionally with internal and external clients
  • Knowledge and experience working with the media
  • Layout and design skills
  • Basic graphics and photography skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
  • Video experience is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
  • At least nine years’ relevant experience
  • Experience in the A/E/C industry is highly preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, APR, PCM or ABC is preferred
