Description

The Marketing Specialist supports all communication efforts for advancement including fundraising and marketing for the Key Center for Learning Differences. He/she will report to the Director of Advancement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the annual marketing plan
  • Manage and execute regular content for KCLD social media platforms
  • Serve as the project manager for KCLD websites and ensure regular content updates
  • Collaborate with advancement department on fundraising campaign concepts/themes, content generation, and collateral support
  • Collaborate with Key School and Key Center for Training & Outreach leadership to create compelling collateral and messaging for admissions and enrollment needs
  • Annually review and update KCLD’s Case Support
  • Provide direction for creative design of printed and online material, including imaging, copywriting, and all messaging
  • Provide scripting and art direction for all video production, photography, and other forms of image capture/development
  • Direct specifications and outsourcing for all printed materials, work with print vendors to ensure desired outcomes of quality, materials, and deadlines for print projects
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for e-newsletters, social media, websites, emails, digital signage, blogs, and other communication vehicles assigned
  • Assist with special events; represent KCLD at off-site speaking engagements; provide tours of KCLD to visitors
  • Perform other related duties as assigned; handle additional projects as assigned

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PERSONAL TRAITS: 

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Social media savvy
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Detail-oriented, skilled with planning and multi-tasking, as well as meeting multiple deadlines within a fast-paced, work environment
  • Preference given to individual with experience in Adobe Creative Cloud products

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in communications, marketing, journalism or English, or related discipline
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a communications/marketing role; internship experience will be considered as a substitute for years of experience
  • Experience in non-profit communications/marketing a plus
