CAMP is a family experience store. Built to engage and inspire families, CAMP combines play and product throughout its stores to create enriching and fun experiences for all. Each CAMP location includes: a canteen (our general store), a café, an interactive space for play and shopping, and a theatre for activities and programming for kids and families of all ages.

What is the Role? 

We are  looking for a Marketing Manager to join CAMP Dallas’ Team. You will report to CAMP’s CMO and be responsible for the planning and execution of the marketing strategy at CAMP Dallas including: in-store marketing, local events and partnerships,  public relations, and community relations.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborating with CAMP’s marketing team to understand national marketing programs and develop related local marketing activities for the CAMP Dallas.
  • Planning and executing in-store, public and private events that are carefully curated for parents, children, & families.
  • Drive local press initiatives which may include managing a local PR agency and work closely with CMO on national press opportunities.
  • Developing newsletters and social content to help promote CAMP’s experience,  products and activities.
  • Collaborating with CAMP Dallas Programming Lead and CAMP Experience Team on consistently developing fresh, relevant and localized special events programming calendar.
  • Capturing content in-store to help promote CAMP’s experience,  products and events across social media platforms and marketing materials.
  • Managing and overseeing in-store collateral such as activity calendars, event postings, and promotional materials to ensure that we preserve the integrity of the CAMP brand.
  • Managing our on-line customer service inquiries using ZenDesk in a timely manner and assign inquiries to team leads as necessary.
  • Developing and managing in-store marketing budget designed to increase awareness of CAMP’s Dallas location.
  • Analyzing the performance of in-store events and reporting progress to CMO and CAMP Store Support team.
  • Additional support and coordination for CAMP Dallas.
    • You may jump in to support a variety of initiatives as they arise.
    • You may even work the experience floor at CAMP Dallas when needed.
  • You will work at CAMP Dallas and work closely with the CAMP Dallas team but you will report to the CAMP’s Chief Marketing Officer Officer (who is based in San Francisco).

What is required? 

  • 4+ years Marketing experience in relevant retail or experiential role
  • Ability to prioritize, work cooperatively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast paced environment
  • Self-starter with high attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects.
  • Your manager will not be present with you daily so you need to be an excellent and proactive communicator and very comfortable working independently (with a remote team).
    Comfort with ambiguity around changing priorities.
  • Passionate about delivering memorable experiences to customers.
  • Desire to be part of a tight knit team looking to transform the traditional retail experience.
  • Holding yourself and your employees and team to high standards.
  • You are not afraid to jump in where needed - no task is too big or too small for you and you are willing to throw down and help your team before you are asked.
  • Bonus but not required: you may have hidden talents that can add magical moments to our retail experience.
