PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As a member of the Development Team, serves as the primary staff manager for development, management and implementation marketing and communications strategies for JA Dallas. Responsible for assigned constituent relationships, marketing, PR, communication, brand management for JA Dallas.

Responsibilities:

 Support the growth of revenue and volunteer resources with communications and marketing campaigns.

 Manages and directs messaging for JA Dallas.

 Manages the creation and implementation of Marketing and Media Plan and Brand Awareness, including creation and communication/placement of JA stories for articles, video production, annual report, website, social media, etc. Oversees concept, design and creation of annual report to communicate accomplishments to enhance and reinforce community awareness among donors and key stakeholders.

 Ensures brand compliance of all materials and marketing collateral.

 Plan, design and coordinate all integrated marketing communication activities and processes.

 Write and produce monthly e-newsletter.

 Manage JA Dallas website.

 Manage, update and create annual materials and updates to existing materials.

 Produce JA Dallas Annual Report by September 30th of each year.

 Serve as the social media expert for JA Dallas and train staff as necessary.

 Developing concepts related to brochures, pamphlets, and other marketing and promotional materials.

 Monitor and plan the implementation of marketing activities, processes and promotional campaigns, including viral marketing and social media. Revise strategies as necessary.

 Provides staff support from the Brand strategy of the Board of Directors and provides ongoing updates and projections for board and staff members to monitor ongoing success.

 Assists with the preparation of the income and expense budget, cash flow projections including the tracking of revenues, invoicing, expense and budget adjustments.

Skills and Specifications

 Excellent project management and execution skills.

 Knowledge and demonstrated success of communication, marketing and PR strategies in non-profits to increase awareness and visibility, revenue and volunteers.

 Ability to work in a team environment and communicate regularly with staff.

 Corresponds with constituents and represents JA Dallas to the Board Members in highly professional manner.

 Communicates directly with Board members, executives in the community and JA, and with executive assistants.

 Strong writing and editing skills.

 Excellent presentation skills.

 Ability to work effectively with multiple priorities and deadlines.
