The Development Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Assistant Director of Development Communications and assist in designing, proposing and implementing communications strategies that enhance and support the university’s fundraising, alumni relations and donor cultivation activities.

Assist in managing and streamlining project processes and schedules, including managing and updating development communications project calendar. Onboard new creative and iModules projects, assisting in supervising production through completion of all projects. Oversee project schedules and follow up with relevant staff to ensure projects are completed on time. Assist in the development and maintenance of content for university development and alumni relations webpages and electronic communications platforms, and online event invitation, response and registration systems. Assist in coordinating distribution of high-volume email campaigns, social media marketing efforts, direct mail, paid marketing strategies, e-newsletters, and other means of reaching donors and alumni to generate support. Occasionally assist in the editing and sending of emails in iModules. Assist in conducting analysis of development communications effectiveness and performance. Pull reports for individual emails as well as maintaining email performance spreadsheets/reports for all development communications emails. Report on email performance to relevant staff. Assist in identifying and creating donor and alumni stories, as well as identifying opportunities to repurpose original storylines for other uses in University Advancement. May be called upon to write development-related content for UTA News Center and publications. Help coordinate with Schools and Colleges within UTA and their communications/marketing staff to share materials and identify content related to the support of the university’s fund-raising, alumni relations and donor cultivation activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
