Parkland Health & Hospital System needs a proactive and PR-savvy Digital Communications Specialist to coordinate and grow Parkland’s digital communications activities that help promote the visibility and positive image of Parkland, its mission and work in the community.
The Digital Communication Specialist maintains accounts on social media platforms, engaging audiences through unique, dynamic content. Coordinates e-newsletters and other digital communications pieces. Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives. Identifies ways to improve work processes and achieve department goals.
The position maintains Parkland’s website, including building new sections, pages or features via its CMS, maintaining relevant content, employing HTML coding as needed, reviewing analytics, maintaining domain ownership and resolving technical issues with the vendor, etc.
Must have at least two years of social media, communications and/or public relations experience. Experience in digital image, video and audio editing is a plus, but not required.
Must be comfortable learning new technology on the job. Must be able to demonstrate strong computer skills, good organizational and decision-making skills and attention to detail. Excellent writing skills required.
