The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement and measure communications to support the company vision, strategy and brand. Responsibilities range from managing our brand reputation through engagement with external audiences via digital communications (social media and website) to showcasing thought leadership in trade publications to reinforcing a cohesive, values-based culture across a geographically dispersed workforce. This position must demonstrate effective business partnering and relationship building skills; creating rapport when communicating with diverse groups; effectively consulting and working with supervisor and various levels of management to identify needs within areas of responsibility. This position requires the ability to make independent decisions; demonstrate leadership ability within areas of responsibility; and work with supervisor to coordinate decision making across stakeholders. Requires highly effective company knowledge and business acumen; must be able to easily answer questions and navigate organization with occasional guidance.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with change management philosophies and ability to convey the right messages and tone when announcing org, process and policy changes
  • Provides communication guidance and support to internal stakeholder groups
  • Measures effectiveness of internal campaigns and uses learnings to improve future communications
  • Plans and conducts public relations programs to improve the company's relations with the media, governments and other stakeholders
  • Identifies topics, SMEs and opportunities to promote company thought leadership
  • Identifies media target lists and partners with SMEs to develop articles, speeches, and scripts
  • Good understanding of how to appropriately craft response statements (for external inquiries)
  • Actively feeds, monitors, responds and tracks social channels; makes improvements to grow audience engagement
  • Trains other employees on the responsible and effective use of social media
  • Coordinates participation in community and charitable activities and organizations
  • Responds to employee and client inquiries regarding community involvement
  • Partners with others on the communications team to spread the word about Integer’s role in bettering local communities
  • Manages the company store
  • Responsible for coaching internal groups on appropriate brand usage
  • Maintains content on (in collaboration with the product marketing teams)
  • Reviews advertising, trade show and other marketing materials for brand consistency
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related discipline required
  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong grasp of communications theory and best practices demonstrated through quality work
  • Implements standards to reinforce the brand
  • Supports projects with limited guidance
  • Analyzes audience needs to determine the best way to communicate (messaging and channels)
  • Able to successfully prioritize work to meet deadlines and budget (minimal supervision)
  • Strong story teller (influences perspective)
  • Incorporates measurements into communications plans, tracks results and adjusts with feedback
  • Knows and consistently applies AP Style
