The Center for American and International Law (CAIL) seeks an experienced and creative individual with strong writing, editorial, management, and organizational skills to serve as its Communications Specialist. CAIL is a nonprofit institution dedicated to improving the quality of justice through continuing education to lawyers and law enforcement officials in the United States and throughout the world. The Communications Specialist works closely with the Vice President of Development and other key staff to develop and manage CAIL’s overall communication strategy, overseeing all CAIL communications and developing marketing and collateral materials.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Public Relations required; graduate degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications or public relations. Candidates must have ability to perform journalistic quality research and writing for a variety of audiences. Strong computer skills including expert use of Microsoft Office, database, and social media tools. Good working knowledge of publishing software.
