DFWCommunicators.com is a collaborative project of several communications-related organizations in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. The goal of the site is to provide a single source of news, jobs, events, and (soon) freelance listings for all the sponsoring organizations. It is an extension of the Joint Communicators Job Bank – a project that goes back more than a decade.

The idea for the site came from a late night brainstorm of Dallas IABC board members Carol Barreyre and Jerry Stevenson.  Design and development was done pro bono by Stevenson, a Dallas-based technology consultant. The site uses a free / open source content management system (Joomla Server) that allows non-techies to maintain it.
